Music is an important part of Christian worship. As music leaders we select and prepare songs for worship every week. For each song we should be prepared to answer the question "Why is it included in Worship?" What does this song have to teach us? How is it related to a Biblical truth or concept?

1 John 4:7 NRSV Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God...

The Life Application Bible says this about 1 John 4:7: "Everyone believes that love is important, but love is usually thought of as a feeling. In reality, love is a choice and an action,... Jesus is our example of what it means to love...God's love always involves choice and action"

When we love one another, when we act like a family, it does not mean we get a warm feeling when someone walks in the room. Love is something we decide to do, whether we get that warm feeling or not.
