About this site

Music is an important part of Christian worship. As music leaders we select and prepare songs for worship every week. For each song we should be prepared to answer the question "Why is it included in Worship?" What does this song have to teach us? How is it related to a Biblical truth or concept?

Walking in Faith with Our Lord!

Walking in Faith with Our Lord!
by Nancy Price and Don Besig

1 John 2:6  (NIVWhoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

To "Walk as Jesus did" does this mean to choose 12 disciples, perform miracles...?  We cannot copy Jesus...we cannot do what he did.  We are called to "walk as Jesus did", to follow His example of obedience to God and loving service to people.   Jesus taught in the synagogue but he spent much of his time in the neighborhoods meeting people at the point of of their need. This is a quote from the United Methodist Church's website  regarding Rethink Church. "In too many places, we have lost that sense of being a movement and have convinced ourselves it was enough to gather in our buildings and wait for people to come and find us. Jesus sent the disciples, and sends us, out to meet the world. We do that when we encounter the world at its points of greatest need."
