Music is an important part of Christian worship. As music leaders we select and prepare songs for worship every week. For each song we should be prepared to answer the question "Why is it included in Worship?" What does this song have to teach us? How is it related to a Biblical truth or concept?

Jesus Loves Even Me

After hearing the chorus "Oh, How I Love Jesus" repeated several times in a meeting, P. P. Bliss was lead to think; the comfort and peace for Christians is not in our love for Christ but in Christ's great love for us. With this in mind he wrote "Jesus Loves Even Me.

1 John 4:10 (NIV) This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
