About this site

Music is an important part of Christian worship. As music leaders we select and prepare songs for worship every week. For each song we should be prepared to answer the question "Why is it included in Worship?" What does this song have to teach us? How is it related to a Biblical truth or concept?

When It's All Been Said And Done

Like a lot of the songs I pick, I selected this because it's message
is challenging to me. I often feel like I am up here singing to
myself even more than I am all of you. In Matthew Jesus tells the
parable of the sheep and the goats. It is the end of time Jesus is
separating people into two groups, those who will be welcomed into
heaven... and those who will not. And how does he decide who is in
which group? When it has all been said and done what really matters?
In this parable what he seems to be saying is what really matters is
how did we treat each other. Did we help people we met..people who
were made in His image...did we help people who were in need. Matthew
25 starting in verse 31 says "I was hungry and you gave me something
to eat, ... I was a stranger and you invited me in, ...Truly I tell
you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and
sisters of mine, you did for me."
