About this site

Music is an important part of Christian worship. As music leaders we select and prepare songs for worship every week. For each song we should be prepared to answer the question "Why is it included in Worship?" What does this song have to teach us? How is it related to a Biblical truth or concept?

Touch Through Me

Touch Through Me
by Dottie Rambo

In a few minutes we will hear the account of the first Pentecost from Acts 2. One thing that strikes me about this story is that as soon as the apostles received the gift of the Holy Spirit, the first thing they did was go out into the street and try to make peoples lives better. This song encourages us to use whatever gifts we have been given to reach out to a world that needs good news. It uses the word slothful which, in this case, means not to be lazy with with the talents we have been given, but to put them to work in the world, in the community.
