About this site

Music is an important part of Christian worship. As music leaders we select and prepare songs for worship every week. For each song we should be prepared to answer the question "Why is it included in Worship?" What does this song have to teach us? How is it related to a Biblical truth or concept?

Not One

Not One
by Tony Wood, Barry Weeks and Bobby Price
arranged by Camp Kirkland

The Bible tells us not to fear over 100 times. Yet, when things go bad that is often the first thing we forget. I have been receiving regular updates over the past week or so on a friend's condition who is seriously ill. The notes I received stated the seriousness of his illness plainly, yet contained words of hope and peace. When I first read these notes I thought "These thoughts don't fit together". But, you see, they were written by someone who understands the words of Psalm 23...I will fear no evil, for you are with me...and the words of Luke 12:6-7 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Thank God for His providential care and for people who will show us, by example, how to handle the difficult situations that are a apart of life.

Not One from Brentwood Benson

How many times does the Bible tell us to Fear Not?
