About this site

Music is an important part of Christian worship. As music leaders we select and prepare songs for worship every week. For each song we should be prepared to answer the question "Why is it included in Worship?" What does this song have to teach us? How is it related to a Biblical truth or concept?

Praise Him, Praise Him

by Fanny Crosby

Hebrews 13: 15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name. 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

"Let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise" praise is not optional, not a suggestion, it is a command. Fanny Crosby understood this. Despite being blind this life long Methodist, wrote enough hymns to fill 15 hymnals including "To God Be The Glory", "Blessed Assurance", "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus", and "Praise Him, Praise Him".
